CLOSING

The escrow company will make an appointment with you to sign the deed and other closing papers. This will happen two to three days prior to the actual closing of the house but can happen as early as a week before. Closing is the recording of the deed and the funding of the loan. You will need to tell the escrow officer where you want your funds to be deposited. If you are buying another home funds can be transferred via wire directly into that escrow account. The buyer will sign all the loan papers one to two days prior to closing and at that time deposit the remainder of the down payment. Once funds have been transferred you usually have about 24 hours to move out of the house. If you need more time a rent back can be arranged but we would need to do that ahead of time. When you move, leave the keys in the kitchen drawer with any owner's manuals and garage door openers, and lock the front door on your way out. I will deliver a set of keys to the new owners.
